Defensible Space in Nevada County, CA

CSF Construction, and, Home Hardening Solutions, are an incredible crew to work with. They are very professional, positive, and hard working guys. They worked expediently on our home to remove dry rot and replace with necessary materials. They were considerate and respectful of us as property owners, and thorough in the job itself. We are very happy with them.

I had Vulcan vents installed by Matt from Home Hardening. Super professional and accommodating in solving issues that came up (like re-homing some bats from the attic, for example, and providing information about other updates I might consider). The job included attic, foundation, gable and dormer vents, plus a couple other ember barriers on the roof. Matt and company are definitely people I will do business with again as needs arise.

Fast, solid work and good communication.

Connor and his team recently installed a new roof on a structure on my parent's property. They did an excellent job, very professional, quick, and clean. Couldn't have asked for a better experience. Would highly recommend them, and will be using them again in the future.

All around great experience, from start to finish. The owner took the time to listen to what we wanted, outbid two other local roofing companies by thousands of dollars, completed work faster than originally expected with amazing attention to detail every step of the way. Highly recommend!

I had the Vulcan Vents, Ember Mesh products installed. They keep embers out of your eaves vents and decking gaps in the event of a fire. Very professional crew and top quality installation and product.

We were ready to have a deck and covered screen room added to our family cabin in Grass Valley. We asked Home Hardening Solutions to look at our project and give us an estimate. Right from our first meeting we felt like they were a good fit. Conner, Patrick, Christina and Matt have been professional, super friendly and easy to work with. They listened to our expectations of the addition and added their own suggestions. Working together the team at Home Hardening Solutions brought our project to life and the work was everything we hoped for and more. Matt was the lead carpenter. He and his crew did an amazing job with their craftmanship and attention to detail (and as a side note - always left the work site each day clean and orderly). Conner and Christina stayed in touch throughout the work and guided us through the process. Home Hardening Solutions was a perfect fit for our addition and we highly recommend them. HHS did a roof for my home in Grass Valley and they were AMAZING! Connor came by beforehand and explained everything very clearly. The entire process was efficient and we were always in the loop. 10/10!

Great to work with this husband and wife team, they were efficient, priced well and the gutters look amazing. They had good suggestions for color and other home hardening solutions

The Home Hardening Solutikns team was professional, knowledgeable and was able to take care of much more than just a new roof for me. They also fixed all the dry rot on my 45 year old home AND they were able to fully install a new bathroom fan, taking care of sourcing and electrical too. They definitely went above and beyond, I would recommend them highly to any home owner.

We had an excellent experience with home hardening solutions during our recent roof replacement. From start to finish the professionalism ,communication, and attention to detail where outstanding . Owner Conor, son Patrick, and the entire crew were courteous ,respectful ,and incredibly hard-working .Pablo ,Felix, and Ruben went above and beyond -always smiling ,polite, and making sure everything was done right. It's rare these days to find a crew that takes such pride in their work and treats your home with care .The quality of the installation exceeded our expectations. They used top quality materials ,paid attention to every detail, and kept the job site clean and organized throughout the project. One thing that really stood out was their honesty and commitment to doing things correctly rather than taking shortcuts . We never felt pressured, and they took time to answer questions and explain the process. Our new roof looks beautiful ,and we now have confidence knowing the job was done properly and professionally. We would absolutely recommend home hardening solutions to anyone looking for quality workmanship and a trustworthy team. Danny & Sherre Mariolle

Home Hardening Solutions installed replacement vent covers with 1/8" screening and Vulcan Matrix on our home. Connor was knowledgeable, easy to work with and flexible, allowing us time to paint the cover frames to match the house before installation. Matt was an exceptional worker, fully focused on detail as he fit the matrix into the frames and installed them. The project was completed in a timely manner and the cost was reasonable.

We recently had Home Hardening Solutions replace our gutters and couldn't be happier with the entire experience. From the first conversation through project completion, the whole team was professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely easy to work with. The crew worked efficiently and got everything done exactly the way we wanted. They even went the extra mile by adding additional downspouts that will better protect our home going forward — that kind of thoughtful, proactive work really stood out to us. Living in Nevada County, fire safety and home protection are top of mind, and it's reassuring to work with a company that truly understands that. We felt confident in their expertise from start to finish and would recommend them without hesitation to anyone in the area looking to protect their home.

Home Hardening Solutions was so helpful and professional in promptly repairing a leak in our roof we noticed during the last storm. Even though we used a different company when we installed the roof in 2018, Home Hardening Solutions was happy to help, answered all of our questions, and did an excellent job with the repairs for a reasonable price. I would confidently recommend their services to anyone in the area!
