Vent Replacement

In today's world it's not entirely easy to find a group of good, knowledgeable and competent workers that embody professionalism and honesty. HSS is that and more...to the point we have used them on 4 different occasions over the years for different projects. Specific to home hardening, they were the go to folks we called during the heavy snowfall of 2023 that downed trees preventing us from reaching our quickly dwindling propane tank and non-working well. A few years ago they put in a stone walkway surrounding our house that is both beautiful and serves as a fire break l. Fearing future fires, HSS has removed truckloads of debris. Home Hardening Solutions removed our faulty cement tile roof and replaced it with a beautiful composite roof. Throughout the process their crews were punctual and hardworking. Their workmanship was incredible as they had to create custom metal flashings for the fireplace and around vents in the roof. Also we had a design flaw in one of the valleys in the roof, which they reframed so that we wouldn't have any leaks in that area again. Before leaving everyday, the crew would clean up even when we told them they didn't need to, since they would be back the next day. Since the completion of the roof, we have had many complements on how great it looks. We are extremely happy with our new roof.

Home Hardening Solutions arrived on time and did the job quickly. I was even able to apply to the City for a $100 rebate because their work met the home hardening standards.

This is a great company if you are interested in making your home safer in the event of a fire. At my request, they replaced 14 eve vents, 22 foundation vents, and retro fit 3 other vents all with Vulcan Vents that close shut to keep out burning embers when temperatures get too hot. This work was done in half a day by two knowledgeable carpenters. They showed up when they said they would, were professional in every way, cleaned up after themselves, and left me with much greater peace of mind.

They did a non-standard installation of .Vulcan vents for n my house. They found a solution that I didn’t know was possible and they did the work efficiently and courteously. I enjoyed working with them.

It was December of 2021. We had a storm that took down so many trees on our property that it looked like a war zone. Home Hardning Solutions came in and was able to cut, stack, and burn all the downed trees. I've never met a more honest and fairer group of people. Just recently I had them come in and remove blackberries. They brought in a Masticator and in short order they were gone. By the way they were here that December in 2021 as a general contractor for my AG building. The County inspector said he had never seen such good work. All around Great People!
